Facts about Bingo calls for numbers 21 to 30. Typically, bingo callers will say something like "2 and 3, 23". Some numbers have their own more interesting calls.

Bingo calls for the number 21


  • Key of the door. The traditional Age of Consent. This call is now also used for the number 18.
  • Other calls for the number 21 are "My age", and "Royal Salute". There are 21 gun shots used in a Basic Royal Salute. In a Royal Park, another 20 shots are fired.

Bingo calls for the number 22


  • Two little ducks. Because the call "One little duck" is used for the number 2. Players will often imitate a duck by saying "Quack quack" and the caller will reply "Thank you quackers".
  • Other calls include "All the 2s", "Ducks on a pond", and "Bishop Desmond". Desmond Tutu was a South African Anglican Bishop.

Bingo calls for the number 23


  • The Lord is My Shepherd. These are the first words of Psalm 23 in the Old Testament.
  • Other calls for the number 23 include "Thee and me", "You and me", and "A duck and a flea". Because they rhyme with three.

Bingo calls for the number 24


  • Two dozen. Because a dozen is twelve things.
  • Other rhymes are also used. Such as "Knock at the door", "Did you score?", and "Do you want some more?"

  • Duck and dive. Because it rhymes with 25.
  • Jump and jive. For the same reason
  • A quarter of a ton. Because 25 is a quarter of 100, and 100 is often called a ton.

  • Pick and mix. Because everyone loves sweets, and it rhymes with 26.
  • Half a crown. A unit of UK money before decimalisation. Half a crown was 2 shillings and 6 pence, common called 2 and 6.

  • Duck and a crutch. Because the call for the number 2 is "One little duck", and for 7 is sometimes "One little crutch".
  • Gateway to Heaven. Another rhyming call.

Bingo calls for the number 28


  • In a state. Because it rhymes with 28. Cockney rhyming slang also uses "state" for the number 8.
  • Other rhymes include "Overweight", and "A duck and its mate".

  • Rise and shine. Because it rhymes with the number 9.
  • Other rhyming calls include "You're doing fine", and "In your prime".

Bingo calls for the number 30


  • Dirty Gertie. A rhyme derived from the name Gertrude, which was used as a nickname for the statue La Deliverance which was installed in North London in 1927.
  • Burlington Bertie. The name of a music hall song that was written in 1900. A more famous parody called "Burlington Bertie from Bow" was written in 1915.
  • Blind thirty. The players will often say "Three, Oh" in a northern accent, and the caller will respond "Aye".
